The Young Science Library is located in Bass Hall on the Smith College Campus (See maps here). The principal focus of the Science Library’s collection, the largest among college science libraries, is the support of the curriculum in Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science and Policy, Exercise and Sport Studies, Geology, History of Science, Marine Science, Mathematics, Neuroscience, Physics, and Psychology.
The Library currently houses over 163,300 volumes, 22,700 microforms, 700 periodical subscriptions, 154,600 maps, and makes available numerous electronic resources including access to the Internet.
The staff is composed of Rocco Piccinino (Science Librarian), Josephine Hernandez (Circulation Coordinator), Gail Adametz (Technical Services/Circulation Associate) and Pat Nadeau (Reserves/Circulation Associate).
